The UFC’s White House event reached 17 million total viewers across the United States and Latin America, according to viewership figures released by Paramount+ on Thursday, making it the biggest exclusive live event in the streaming platform’s history.
The event, which took place on the South Lawn of the White House, averaged 8.2 million viewers across both markets, with 7 million viewers in the U.S. and 1.2 million in Latin America. Total viewership reached 15.26 million in the U.S. and 1.67 million in Latin America, according to Nielsen and Adobe Analytics.
Following the event, UFC CEO Dana White revealed he had spoken with Paramount CEO David Ellison, who attended the card. “He was overjoyed by the early numbers for the card,” said White, according to comments made after the event on Sunday night.
The UFC is expected to release full global viewership figures for the White House card next week, which could provide a broader picture of the event’s worldwide reach.
The promotion is currently in the first year of a seven-year, $7.7 billion broadcast agreement with Paramount after moving from ESPN. Under the deal, all UFC events, including cards previously offered as pay-per-view events, are now available to Paramount+ subscribers at no additional cost. Paramount+ currently has 79 million subscribers globally, while Netflix has more than 325 million subscribers worldwide.
