Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes successfully made championship weight for their featherweight title rematch at UFC 325, while one bout was scrapped after a fighter missed the mark at official weigh-ins.

The UFC 325 official weigh-ins took place early on Friday (Irish time), with the card set for Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia — and which will be the second numbered event to be broadcast in the UFC’s seven-year partnership with Paramount+, which saw its debut last Saturday in Las Vegas as UFC 324. All fighters hit their assigned limits except one, resulting in a cancellation.

In the main event, reigning featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski (27-4 MMA, 14-3 UFC) and challenger Diego Lopes (27-7 MMA, 6-2 UFC) both weighed in at the championship limit of 145 pounds, confirming their title rematch will proceed as scheduled.

The lone issue on the scale came in a Road to UFC flyweight bout, where Aaron Tau weighed 129 pounds. Coming in four pounds heavy led to the cancellation of his fight against Namsrai Batbayar.

Volkanovski and Lopes are set to meet for a second time after their first encounter established Lopes as a legitimate title contender. The rematch comes with the featherweight championship on the line, adding further stakes to a matchup that has already drawn significant attention.

With weigh-ins complete, the UFC 325 card now moves to fight night with the main event intact, though reduced by one bout following the cancellation.
