After more than a few UFC events were forced into some last-minute changes for a range of different reasons, Saturday night’s UFC 297 card from Toronto, Canada has (so far) escaped the wrath of the MMA gods.

Both men in the main event, middleweight champion Sean Strickland and his challenger Dricus du Plessis, successfully made weight in the frigid conditions in Ontario. Similarly, the women in the co-main event to contest the vacant women’s bantamweight crown, Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva both made the contracted weight without issue.

Elsewhere, with just a couple of lower card fighters still to weigh in at the time of writing, it seems as though the weigh-ins will progress without a hitch — an increasing rarity for UFC events nowadays, it seems. Just one addendum: a bout between Priscila Cachoeira and Jasmine Jasudavicius, initially a flyweight contract bout, has been moved to the bantamweight division. Both successfully made weigh under those terms.

The UFC 297 weigh-in results are:

  • (C) Sean Strickland (184.75) vs. Dricus Du Plessis (184)
  • Raquel Pennington (134.8) vs. Mayra Bueno Silva (135)
