This weekend’s UFC welterweight title fight came close to kicking off early following Thursday’s pre-fight press conference in Montreal.

In the main event of the organisation’s latest event in Canada, 170-pound champion Belal Muhammad will defend his title against the 28-year-old Australian Jack Della Maddalena, the upstart challenger currently in the midst of a 17-fight win streak in the shark tank welterweight division.

Muhammad, though, can boast a significant undefeated streak of his own having finally gained revenge last summer against Leon Edwards, seizing the Briton’s championship in front of his home country crowd in London.

And with both men coming into the fight in the best form of their careers, neither man was willing to cede an inch to the other when they came face-to-face on Thursday evening.
