Jared Cannonier is a problem at 185-pounds.

The American, who turned 40 this past March, has been defeated by just two men dating all the way back to 2018: against former champions Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker.

During that time, the ‘Killa Gorilla’ has reeled off impressive wins against former and future titleholders, as well as prior number one contenders like Sean Strickland, Anderson Silva, Kelvin Gastelum and, in his last outing in the cast in June of 2023, Marvin Vettori.

The Texan will seek to re-establish his title credentials by keeping this run going when he meets the rising contender Nassourdine Imavov when the pair meet in the main event of this weekend’s UFC event in Louisville, Kentucky.
