How’s this for an appetiser to Saturday night’s main event?
The two men who will take part in the headliner to the UFC’s first-ever even in Qatar showed that there is a little bad blood festering between the two lightweight rivals when Armenia’s Arman Tsarukyan threw a head butt at New Zealand’s Dan Hooker just moments after they came face-to-face on the stage earlier on Friday.
Earlier, both men made the lightweight non-title limit of 156-pounds when they stepped on the scales.
Elsewhere, Ireland’s Ian Machado Garry hit 170-pounds on the mark for this showdown with the former welterweight champion Belal Muhammad, and while both men jawed at each other during their staredown there wasn’t quite the same level of drama that came with the Hooker vs. Tsarukyan fracas just moments later.
