The UFC’s injury bug has strick once again.

With the organisation’s last two pay-per-view offerings having been ravaged by injuries which forced late changes atop the card, the UFC’s matchmakers are again working overtime after it emerged late on Tuesday that Dan Hooker has been forced to withdraw from a December 2 showdown with Bobby Green in Texas, according to numerous reports.

The fight, which was to serve as the co-main event in Austin the weekend after next, was set to feature the two veteran lightweights who have both been successful in their two most recent outings in the cage. Hooker has scored successive victories against Jalin Turner and Claudio Puelles while Green has stopped Grant Dawson and Tony Ferguson this year.

Hooker was also forced to pull out from a earlier booking against Turner this year before he won the rescheduled contest in July. The UFC is attempting to secure a replacement fighter for Green, MMA Fighting reported.
