Francis Ngannou has indicated that his contract with the Professional Fighters League is approaching its expiration, suggesting the former UFC heavyweight champion could compete at the planned UFC White House event and pursue a high-profile fight with Jon Jones.

Ngannou left the UFC in early 2023 after contract negotiations failed and signed with the PFL, where he has competed only once in MMA, knocking out Renan Ferreira in October 2024 to become the inaugural PFL Super Fights Heavyweight Champion. His comments have fueled speculation about the lineup for the proposed White House fight card and the potential for marquee matchups.

“I’m getting very close on the PFL contract [ending],” Ngannou said on The Ariel Helwani Show. “They have to give me a fight,” he added.

While acknowledging that he is not the decision-maker on his own UFC return, Ngannou suggested there could be an opportunity to appear on the White House card and hinted at interest in a super-fight with Jon Jones, saying “there’s a chance” and “anything can happen.”

Interest in the UFC event at the White House, reportedly planned for June 2026, has drawn pitches from multiple fighters seeking headline spots, and Ngannou’s remarks add another angle to the ongoing discussions about how promoters might assemble the heavyweight marquee bouts.

Looking ahead, Ngannou’s next steps will depend on the formal conclusion of his PFL commitment, any potential negotiations with UFC officials, and the wider construction of the fight card for next year’s event.

Ngannou’s departure from the UFC was marked by lingering disagreements over contract terms, leading him to pursue opportunities both in the PFL and in high-profile boxing matches, and his possible return to the UFC stage would be a significant development in his combat sports career.
