Turki Alalshikh has rejected suggestions he is losing interest in boxing, outlining a schedule of major fights already staged and planned for the remainder of 2026.

The Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority chairman was responding to a social media post from boxing reporter Michael Woods questioning whether he had been “too busy” and if momentum from the previous year had slowed. Alalshikh replied by listing recent events and upcoming bouts across multiple locations.

“Yes, I am very busy with other stuff,” Alalshikh said, according to his social media post as noted by Fight Mag. “Thank God my country is safe and we are happy, even when we are close to war. Thank you for asking. Missile and drones coming to my country each day.”

“And to prove your point that I am too busy and not interested in boxing anymore, we just did Shakur-Teo, the biggest fight in MSG history, Garcia-Barrios in Vegas, one of the biggest fights this year. Next week I will be in London for the legend Tyson Fury vs. Makhmudov at Tottenham Stadium. And we have Usyk-Rico heavyweight title fight at the Pyramids. And that’s just the first half of 2026,” he added.

Alalshikh also detailed plans for the remainder of the year, including the previously reported return of Canelo Alvarez in Riyadh and multiple bouts involving leading heavyweights and contenders. “We are finalising Canelo in Riyadh Season for September, planning to do two fights for Joshua, another for Tyson and another for Garcia in the second half,” he said.

“This is my schedule this year when I am busy and not interesting imagine if I not,” he added.

Events already held in 2026 include Shakur Stevenson’s win over Teofimo Lopez in New York and Ryan Garcia’s victory against Mario Barrios in Las Vegas, with upcoming cards featuring Tyson Fury versus Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 in London and Oleksandr Usyk against Rico Verhoeven on May 23 in Giza, Egypt.

Further details regarding the scheduled bouts and additional events are expected to be confirmed in due course.
